Frequently Asked Questions

There are a few things we’ve *got* at CKCS.

Dance moves. Camera skills. And answers to your frequently asked questions.

  • Look, we’d love to drop a banger by Drake or Justin Bieber in your film. But a thing called copyright law prevents us from doing so (run for the hills if a videographer tells you they can use any song — it’s kinda illegal).

The good news? We have subscriptions to MusicBed which feature licensed songs from artists across all types of genres. Oh, and don’t be put off by “lesser-known” artists on these platforms — there’s some super cool and amazing music being pushed out — designed specifically for filmmakers. Plus, we work to create something that reflects YOU. So if there’s a genre of music you like, let us know and we’ll work our magic.

  • Ah, drones. The footage looks epic, right? Good thing Kane went and got his drone license so he can capture AALLL the scenic shots for you.

But the use of drones comes with a bit of a disclaimer. The weather must be clear and we have to follow rules and guidelines (we aren’t allowed to fly in restricted airspace or national parks).

But if we can tick all the right boxes and do things legally, we’d love to get those sweet, sweet aerial angles for you.

  • If you’d like a little extra bang, you can upgrade your package to include a 1 + hour raw feature doco film, which includes all the great shots (ceremony, speeches, dances) in one long-ass film for you to binge.

Our feature film will include all your best moments chronologically, from when we start shooting to the very end, with some background music, gentle editing and raw sound.

We’d like to add, if you’re looking for the *totally* raw, uncut and unedited footage, believe us when we say, ya don’t want it. And it’s not because you’re not bloody gorgeous. It’s because we use filming techniques that are intended for the editing process. Not only that, we film a LOT. Like, hours. You don’t wanna spend time watching it all and waiting for the good bits. We make sure you see all the most beautiful and important shots.

  • We’re pretty speedy (if we do say so ourselves). You’ll usually see your full film within 3 – 5 months of your wedding.

  • We love capturing the real and unexpected moments that make your big day, well, yours. Whether it’s your Grandma giggling at your vows or your Dad hand standing on the d-floor — we’re here to capture your day as it unfolds, totally candid. We’re like your extended wedding party, creating a film that feels as if you’re *right there* watching.

In saying that, we can be a little more intentional with shots and provide simple and natural direction if we think it’ll make for a great snippet.

  • Yes, ab-suh-lutely. On the day, we use two SD cards in each camera so we have a backup of your footage. We also back up the footage onto multiple devices when we get home. Your wedding footage ain’t going anywhere.

  • We love a road trip. So, we don’t charge travel fees for any locations within 100km of Melbourne CBD. For locations further than 100km, a travel fee will apply. Let us know where you’re from and we’ll give you an estimate (please say Hamilton Island).

  • Sure do. This brings you higher resolution and all the epic feels — it’ll feel like you’re re-living it time and time again.

  • Yes. Your love story is unique and so is your big day. That’s why we offer custom packages if you don’t *quite* fit into ours. Get in touch and let’s get chatting.

  • We’re based in Melbourne, Australia. But we’re not limited to there — we love to travel.
